I've been good with my food and exercise this week. Except yesterday's workout was mainly low intensity due to the nagging headache and body aches. I just needed at least 30 minutes of exercise to feel that I had put in some extra activity in my day. :-)
Anyways, my membership at the gym expires at the end of the month and I was thinking of paying for a 6month membership which costs about $585. Unfortunately, since I don't have that much I tried convincing my Dad to help me with some of the money so I can focus on my health. He agreed on one condition; I workout twice a day! I was almost tempted to say no but then I realized, "maybe I can do this". I could do cardio in the morning and resistance exercises in the evening or the other way around. Besides, I've gotten to far to let money be a setback, especially when the condition has to do with weight loss.
So, I've decided that in the month of February, I'm going to challenge myself to workout twice a day at least three times a week and then do my once a day routine twice. That totals to five days a week. What do you folks think? Your opinions really matter.
Good for you, sometimes you need a challenge like this to get some new motivation. That's sweet that your Dad is helping you like that.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! If you can fit 2 workouts in a day more power to you!
ReplyDeleteI think that it is definitely doable. You can do it!
ReplyDeleteYou can definitely do it! And if you need a buddy I'm willing to challenge myself with you :)
ReplyDeleteFOr 585 dollars, I'd be working out twice a day! DAMN that's expensive. Is there no cheaper alternative? But the twice a day workout is great if you have the time, I would reccomend everyone to work out twice a day. Just...wow. 585 is steep!
ReplyDeleteMy dear Katelyn, all the cheaper alternatives have the worst kind of services. Faulty equipment, no showers and no classes.
DeleteI know it's really steep but I guess that is enough motivation to work out twice daily. :-)
I break my biking down throughout the day. I do a full hour or more, but break it down to 30 minutes in the morning and a 20 and 10 minute at night or something. Still building up my endurance. He didn't say how many minutes twice a day, haha. I think you can do it!
ReplyDeleteLol! That's exactly what my Mum said. He didn't say how many minutes twice a day.
DeleteI think it's a great idea. Just remember to target different parts of your body on different days so they can rest, and if anything starts to hurt take some time off! Can't wait to hear more. xx
ReplyDeleteI think you can!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else... you can do this. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteIf I can get someone to sponsor my gym membership, I'd surely grab it even if I have to workout twice a day.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!
:-)
DeleteYou can do it! (I wish I had the time... if you have got any chance of making this happen, go for it.)
ReplyDeleteI think you can do it! It's a great goal to have, plus you'll accesses to gym! I'm going to start having two workouts a day too, except without a gym. lol
ReplyDeleteWow! That's an expensive gym! For $50 a month, my whole family can go to the YMCA. I definitely think going twice a day would get your money's worth. You can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteI have worked out twice a day when I wanted to boost weight loss results or build up my endurance...I used to walk in the mornings (about 3 miles) and then do my usual cardio/strength training. But, I only did that about 2 or 3 times a week. And then regular once a day workouts, another 2 to 4 days a week. You can totally do it!
